Growing together from day 1
This is the aim of the kick-off days for the start of training
For many years now, we have orchestrated a kick-off day for our new apprentices and dual-study students. On this day, everyone meets for the first time: They have the opportunity to acquaint themselves in a relaxed setting and exchange thoughts away from their forthcoming work environment. The agenda for the day includes team games, fun and plenty of action, with the JAV also in attendance. This strengthens group solidarity – right from the outset of their journey at HERMLE. Be it 3D black light mini golf, adventurous hikes, rallies and climbing parks, or cosy barbecues with delicious snacks: The shared experiences forge strong bonds among the apprentices and students even before things really get going in the company. And it is not just them who engage in conversation with one another.
The training managers also seize this opportunity get to know the new recruits better, providing insight into their tasks and working methods in advance. They emphasise the importance of internal communication and motivated cooperation, stressing their value across all departments. Following the orientation day, the first regular working day swiftly approaches – either at HERMLE as a training or partner company. For at least the next two years, although many will continue their journey within the Group as specialists for much longer.
